Questions
What people ask about Gef.
Is Gef free?
Reading and listening to the books in Gef is free. Some books may be offered for biscuits.
Do I need an account?
No. You can read without one. With a Clickabl account your Library, your place in each book and your biscuits are kept and shared between your devices.
Where do the books come from?
Mostly from the public domain: books whose copyright has ended, and recordings made freely available by volunteers such as LibriVox. Each edition says where it comes from.
What do “Machine draft” and “Machine reviewed” mean?
Some translations and texts were prepared by a machine. “Machine draft” means one machine made it; “Machine reviewed” means a second, separate machine checked it. Editions a person has reviewed carry no such word.
Can I read offline?
Yes. Download a book from its page first.
How do I delete my account?
In Gef, open Settings, then your Clickabl account, and choose how much to delete. Deleting the whole account starts a recovery period before everything is removed.
